Baby’s First Year Collection: Three photoshoots capturing your baby’s first year milestones

During your baby’s first year, you’ll witness an incredible physical transformation! More so than in any other year of their life, your baby will grow and change rapidly. 

Naturally, many parents choose to capture these changes in professional photographs and my Baby’s First Year Collection has been designed with this in mind.

What is the Baby’s First Year Collection? 

As you might imagine from the name, the ‘Baby’s First Year‘ collection includes a series of baby photoshoots which all happen within the first twelve months of your baby’s life.

There are several key developmental milestones within that first year, and the collection has been designed for parents who want beautiful photographs at each stage. 

What’s included in the Baby’s First Year?

My Baby’s First Year collection includes three professional photo sessions for your baby.

When are the milestone portraits sessions organised for?

When you book the Baby’s First Year collection, I can guide you on which baby milestones you’d like to capture.

To coincide with the key milestones in a baby’s first year, typically parents bring their baby to me for:

1.      a newborn photoshoot (held within the first few weeks after birth),

2.      an older baby photoshoot - they return six months or so later when the baby is sitting up independently,

3.      then, a first birthday photoshoot - a final session is usually held around the time of the baby’s first birthday, or just after. If you choose the option of a birthday cake smash photoshoot, come prepared for a LOT of messy fun!

Having said all that, this schedule isn’t set in stone.

The collection is also suitable for families who may have missed out on capturing photos of the newborn stage but would like photos starting at around the 3 months mark. This is when I can create some lovely awake and smiling baby photos, interacting with their parents, laying on their back or doing some tummy time. 

Where are the sessions held?

All baby portrait sessions are held at my photography studio here in Boston Spa, Leeds, which is easily accessible from both Harrogate and York. 

Five reasons to book my  Baby’s First Year Collection

There are many reasons why it’s a great idea to invest in my baby milestone portraits collection:

1.      Simple pricing structure and no ongoing session fees

To keep things nice and simple, when you book the Baby’s First Year collection you pay £125 upfront. This covers the session fees for the three shoots that you’ll attend during your baby’s first year.

If you’ve already had your newborn session with me before you decide to book the Baby’s First Year collection, you’ll simply pay the difference between the £125 and the £75 session fee you’ll have already paid - so just an additional £50.

No ongoing session fees are payable after this, meaning that you’ll be free from the hassle of having to make multiple session fee payments throughout the year. When you have a baby, even the smallest of tasks can prove tricky to get done so the less admin the better, right?!

Following each session, you only need to decide what to do once you have seen all the images. I have some beautiful frames, wall art and albums are available to purchase, or collections of digital images.

At a viewing session, I will help you choose how to make the most of the images we have taken of your little one so that you can enjoy them every day.

2.      Save yourself £50!

Another reason to secure your baby’s first year collection now, rather than book individual sessions throughout the year, is that you will save money.

You’ll pay just £125 for all three sessions, saving yourself a total of £50 – money you can spend on your little one buying them yet another cute romper or perhaps even a treat for yourself?!

3.      Free mounted fine art print from each session 

Exclusive to Baby’s First Year clients, you’ll also be presented with a beautiful professionally printed portrait of your baby after each of the three sessions with my compliments.

This will be a 10” x 8” mounted fine art print of your choice which you can choose after you have seen your images. 

4.      You secure today’s prices

You will also save money by securing the collection at today’s prices.

Session fees for individual shoots are currently £75 for newborn sessions and £50 for older baby sessions, but these may well increase in the future and the collection price may increase too.

By locking in today’s prices, you’ll ensure to secure the best possible rate for the series of three photoshoots over the course of the year ahead.

5.      You can leave everything to me

Last but not least, another benefit worth mentioning is that by booking your Baby’s First Year collection, the photoshoots will be booked into the diary so you won’t need to remember to arrange them throughout the year.

With your session fees paid, your preferred slots will be secured and you can enjoy the first few months with your baby without the worry of having to remember to get photoshoots booked in.

Parents have told me that this is a real perk as time just flies with a little one at home, and it may be that you forget to book a photo session if it’s not already firmly in the diary.
