Spring photoshoots: Mini photo sessions in Leeds for your family

With the worst of Winter behind us, Spring is officially on its way. This means that it will soon be time for my spring photoshoots!

I don’t know about you, but I love springtime! The first snowdrops in the garden, the lighter evenings, and the little bit of warmth - it is always an exciting time as there’s nothing I love more than to be outdoors with my camera capturing photos of families in the great outdoors.

The arrival of Spring is the perfect opportunity to get back to doing more of what I love. 

Why book a Spring family portrait session?

There are many reasons why you might want to book a mini family session:

• In Springtime, it can be great to get outdoors again after a long winter. A portrait session is a lovely way to celebrate the changing of the seasons and to welcome the warmer weather.

• Seasonal mini sessions are an ideal way to update your family photo album and to document how your children are growing through the years. Some families come to me for a mini family session every single year. The photos become a lovely lasting memory of a fun time you had together and will be looked back on fondly in the years to come.

• Because these sessions are held outdoors, another great thing about them is that your kids can be kids! They’ll be encouraged to run around and to play and act normally, so there’ll be no pressure on them to sit still or be on their best behaviour during the shoot.

• Plus, at this time of year, there is lovely natural light and, of course, spring flowers which make a beautiful backdrop to your portraits. What’s not to love?!

When are the spring family photoshoots taking place?

There are a couple of different sessions that you’ll be able to choose from, depending on when you want to book in.

• Friday 14^th April, Saturday 15th April and Sunday 16th April 2023 - daffodil mini sessions, when the ground is covered in a yellow carpet.

• Sunday 7th May and Bank Holiday Monday 8th May 2023 - bluebell mini sessions, for a background of shimmering deep-violet blue.

What will be the location for the Spring mini sessions?

The location of the shoot will be confirmed nearer the time, but they will be held in or near Boston Spa, in easy reach of Harrogate, York and Leeds.

What style of photographs will you get?

My spring photoshoots are fun, enjoyable and relaxed (and my clients vouch for this too!). You’ll come away with a mixture of candid and posed family photographs.

You’ll get updated group and individual portraits, as well as natural photos of you all interacting and having fun among the spring flowers. 

How much do the spring photo shoots cost?

My Spring photo shoots are just £155.

This includes:

• your 20-minute family photo session

This is enough time for me to take a good variety of photographs, and not too much time so that your family get bored! Even the most camera-shy mums and dads enjoy my mini sessions.

• four high-resolution photographs, which you will choose from an online gallery after your shoot

These are ideal for viewing and sharing digitally, as well as printing. If you’d like more than four photos, you can purchase additional images after you’ve seen your photo gallery.

• plus, a beautiful 10x8 inch fine art print of one of your favourite pictures from the shoot.

Who are the Spring mini photoshoots best suited to?

My spring photoshoots are perfect for outdoor families with children (and adults!) who are full of energy. Come prepared to play games, run around, and have a giggle with me as I gently guide you into scenarios that will make for great photographs.

Another thing is note is that they are best for children over the age of 1 year. If your child is younger than 12 months old, did you know I also offer studio portrait sessions for older babies? This will be more suitable.
